How would you describe your ideal relationship?
“Friends with cuddle benefits” with someone I’d be willing to follow into Mordor (yes, I overuse the LotR reference). I would really like to be somebody’s #1 without all the pressure of romance, dating, marriage, sex, kids, etc… Which is freaking impossible because Hollywood (I blame them for a lot of things) paints the American Ideal as the “romance of the ages”. Yuck!
How about a bromance of the ages for once? Life partners through thick and thin? That “weird” friend that your future significant other knows and accepts as a part of a package deal without all the jealously crap? Help me out Hollywood! These are great plots!
I guess basically what I’m asking is where’s my ideal? Where’s my American Dream? Well, I probably have to write it myself.

This sounds very close to my ideal. My goal relationship is middle school era best friend–the best friend relationships I had before everyone went and got sexual partners on me.
